Welcome to the web site for YP Vets at Kadina, Maitland, Minlaton, Moonta and Port Pirie – we cover the Yorke Peninsula and Port Pirie Regions from north to south, and east to west.
YP Vets has five clinics covering the Yorke Peninsula and Port Pirie Regions, with full veterinary services, 24/7 veterinary access, and a range of other services such as puppy preschool, mobile vet home visits to seaside towns, community programmes and a boarding cattery.
The Yorke Peninsula is 95km north of Adelaide, and a 2 hour drive by car. It offers a unique blend of country and coastal living, with more than 600 km of beautiful coastline and sandy beaches. Inland are oceans of grain crops and sites filled with history from the mining booms and pioneer adventures. It is a popular place to live and work, with many retirees seeking a “sea change” on our doorstep. It is very popular with tourists, with Christmas, Easter and school holidays resulting in an influx of people and their pets enjoying time in our part of the world.
Port Pirie is also approximately 2 hours from Adelaide on Highway One, close to the nearby mining areas, and is the gateway to the Southern Flinders Ranges. Our clinic in Port Pirie services both locals and many travellers passing through the Regional Centre, with our vets kept busy with consultations, medicine cases and surgeries with dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, ferrets, rabbits and guinea pigs.
Our nurses and vets are passionate about high quality animal care and customer service. Our motto is “Compassionate Care for Companions” and our drive and commitment to caring for your pet is seen in our day-to-day dealings with our patients.
YP VETS has been very honoured to receive nominations over a period of years in the MDBA Awards across Australia. In 2012 YP VETS were very honoured to be nominated, and also be announced the WINNER of the MDBA “Best Vet Clinic/Surgery” category in 2012. Not only were our clinics recognised in these awards from across Australia, but Dr Natalie Olding, the owner of the practice, was also nominated as “Most Supportive Vet”. YP Vets was again nominated as “Most Supportive Vet” in the 2013 awards. In breaking news, YP VETS has again received nominations for the 2014 category of “Most Supportive Vet” and we look forward to the judging in May 2014.
We welcome any enquiries from you. Tourists or new residents are encouraged to bring their pet for a tour and visit of our clinics – the nurses and vets will be pleased to meet you!
